Art workshops, Glastonbury Festival 2015

Had a great Glastonbury festival this year. I usually facilitate wooden spoon carving in the green craft fields but this year helped with steam bending yurt trellis as demos for the public. We also added some morning workshops for children helping them make and paint elder bead necklaces. Its always lovely to be around children in this environment as they flourish in the creative environment that such a festival provides. Each day the painting went further than the beads inevitably ending up on themselves, new coloured arms, their costume for the day! It would be nice to offer workshops like this up here in N.Wales, including the foraging of the Elder to highlight a simple yet fun use of a wood that is all around us.
